## What to know first
- Identify the insect before adding another product.

- Look for moisture and overlooked hiding places.

- Treat repeat sightings as information for follow-up.

## Start with where you see them
Write down whether activity is near an appliance, under a sink or at a wall opening. The size and appearance of the insect also matter. Different cockroaches may point to different routes and hiding places.

A spotless counter does not rule out moisture or shelter behind cabinetry. Explain what you can observe and leave inaccessible spaces to the inspection.

## Tell the technician what has been used
Keep the names of products already applied and where they were placed. Adding another spray without advice can interfere with the planned approach or make the evidence harder to interpret.

Ask what activity is expected after treatment and when to report it. An explanation of monitoring is more useful than a promise that every insect will disappear immediately.

## Connect treatment with maintenance
A persistent leak or open utility gap needs a repair conversation alongside pest treatment. In a shared building, establish who can authorize work and arrange access beyond the affected apartment.

At follow-up, compare the same locations and note fresh sightings. Ask whether findings change the original scope, including inspection of connected spaces.
