What to know first
- Ask whether inspection has a charge.
- Compare the same rooms, work and follow-up.
- Confirm credentials directly with the provider.
Start with the evidence and scope
Explain what you have seen and the property type before asking for a price. An apartment kitchen, several affected units and a restaurant stockroom do not describe the same job.
Ask what the inspection includes, what access is needed and whether there is an inspection charge. Make sure the person arranging entry has authority to open shared rooms.
Separate treatment from other work
A proposal should make clear whether it includes exclusion, cleanup, building repairs or only treatment and monitoring. Ask who completes work outside the pest provider’s scope.
Where credentials, insurance or building documentation are needed, ask for current details before booking. This website does not substitute for checking the provider and agreed service.
Know what happens after the visit
Ask for preparation and re-entry instructions, the intended follow-up and a way to report continued activity. Understand any cancellation or guarantee terms if offered.
Keep the written scope so changes can be discussed against the original agreement. A website enquiry starts that conversation; it does not confirm a price or reserve a visit.
Sources and further reading
General guidance cannot identify the pest or determine the treatment for a specific property. Discuss the evidence and preparation with the person inspecting your space.
